Manhattan S4-R 1TB Freesat 4K TV Recorder
The Manhattan S4-R 1TB is a 4K Freesat TV recorder designed to provide installers with a straightforward solution for satellite TV, recording and on-demand services in a single unit.
The S4-R connects to an existing satellite installation and can be connected to the network via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, allowing access to Freesat channels alongside popular on-demand services including BBC iPlayer, ITVX and YouTube. With over 100 Freesat channels available, including more than 35 in HD, it provides a comprehensive TV solution without requiring a monthly subscription.
The integrated 1TB hard drive provides up to 600 hours of recording capacity, while the recorder supports simultaneous recording of multiple programmes depending on the satellite installation and configuration. Live TV can also be paused and rewound, with up to two hours of live TV buffer available.
For installation and day-to-day use, the S4-R features a 15-day electronic programme guide, programme search across live and on-demand content, automatic setup and support for audio description. It also provides 4K upscaling for compatible displays, helping to make the most of a 4K television even when the original content is not available in 4K.
The compact chassis, HDMI output and Ethernet connectivity make the S4-R a practical option for residential AV installations where satellite reception, recording and streaming services need to be combined in a single receiver.
