- Combines VHF (85–230MHz) and UHF (470–694MHz)
- Triple filtered to block 4G, 5G, and TETRA
- UHF port supports DC pass (12V/100mA)
- Compact, fully screened and easy to mount
The BLACOM21VU is a masthead diplexer designed to combine and separate signals across VHF (85–230MHz) and UHF (470–694MHz) frequency bands. Triple filtered to block out 5G, 4G, and TETRA interference, it supports clear signal delivery for installations requiring both DAB/FM and TV UHF signals.
Built with fully screened construction, this unit offers low insertion loss and strong return loss performance, maintaining signal strength and reducing unwanted reflections. The UHF port features DC power pass (12V/100mA), allowing support for masthead amplifiers or external devices. It is compatible with coax and fibre IRS systems and is optimised for use as the fifth cable in 5-core IRS setups.
The compact housing includes F-type connectors, wall mounting lugs, foam-sealed cable entry glands, and a 90° wide-opening door for simple installation. An earth tag is also provided for system equipotential bonding where required.
Features:
- Triple filtered: Blocks interference from 5G, 4G, and TETRA
- Combines VHF (85–230MHz) and UHF (470–694MHz) signals
- Low insertion loss: 1.0dB (typical) for both bands
- Good return loss: 13dB (typical), 10dB (minimum)
- DC power pass on UHF: 12V/100mA
- Compact and fully screened design
- F-type connectors with secure mounting options
- Earth tag for compliance with BS EN 60728-11
Applications
The BLACOM21VU is ideal for combining TV and DAB/FM signals onto a single drop cable, particularly in IRS systems using a 5-core setup. Compatible with any UHF aerial and recommended for use with the Blake DFMO antenna, it simplifies signal routing in both coaxial and fibre IRS environments.
