This holding magnet is the ideal solution for panic doors. It is typically used as an accessory for holding the door in position. It is not a lock substitute.
When permanently connected to power, the magnets hold together firmly and the door cannot be opened. In case of a power outage, the magnets are disconnected, the door opens, and people can safely escape the building.
The MEX100 lock consists of two parts – the powered component is installed on the door frame, while the counter piece is fastened to the door wing.
